Latin for “Valle of the Cross”, this town is nestled in the mountains with Dutch Creek and Watauga River meeting to form the shape of the cross in this valley.  Valle Crucis elevation is 2677 and is located between Tester Mountain and Valle Mountain on the edge of the Pisgah National Forrest. It features the original Mast General Store and is perfect area for fishing and hiking or relaxing and playing in the river at Valle Crucis Community Park.
